Mayor Raymond Eppinger announced last week that a number of streets will be rehabilitated this year.

"Because of our long-range planning, plus county, state and federal assistance, we will be doing more roadwork in the borough than has been seen in many years," Eppinger said.

The roads in question are Paul Avenue, Miller Street, North End Drive, Main Street, Jackson Street, Reid Street, Ridge Road, Clark Street, High Street, Grove Street and Pierson Street. In addition, portions of Willet and Lexington avenues will also be resurfaced.

"Based on the survey conducted last year, the borough has prioritized projects based on need," Eppinger said. "We know that there are many other streets that need our attention, and we will be addressing them in a logical manner and as quickly as our financial position allows."
